The HIRSCHMANN Basic Set is the ideal equipment for the wire EDM. It is assembled from the beams shown on .page 7, and matched to the individual machine model in question.
Almost all workpieces can be clamped inside the cutting area and fixed with a repeatability of < 0.005 mm (0.0002") between the cross beams, which can be inserted from above or from the front. They are infinitely adjustable and quickly locked in any position, using only a few additional clamping elements.
Large workpieces can be clamped directly between the cross beams, using the "0" line support plates that are included. These plates can easily be removed after clamping a workpiece with the beam vises. Leveling of the workpiece can be done using the integrated adjustment screws located at the ends of each cross beam.
To avoid collision of the lower wire nozzle with the support plates, the cross beams can be lifted or lowered by using spacer plates having a thickness of 6 mm (0.24").
Smaller workpieces are clamped in workpiece holders. Using an adjustable pallet, they will be positioned on a clamper e.g. on the Clamper H 4300, which is mounted to one of the basic beams.
