The video above shows a recently installed cell featuring two Charmilles Robofil 240cc wire EDM machines being loaded with a Fanuc M16IB six axis robot. The cell is managed by HIRSCHMANN's CMS Cell Master software. The robot is loading parts in a pneumatic HIRSCHMANN clamper in one position and then reloading it into a position 90° from the first for the second cutting operation.
The pallet mounted parts are then bathed by the robot in two tanks for cleaning and drying before being returned to the storage racks.
